Client and Member Code of Conduct
This document outlines the standards of behavior and expectations for all clients, members, and visitors at Totem Training and Performance.

1. Purpose
Totem Training and Performance LLC (“Totem”) is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for all individuals who access our facilities and services.
This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected of all clients, members, visitors, and guests (“you”). Adherence to these standards is essential to maintaining a positive experience for all.
2. Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to:
- All Totem locations, including training areas, treatment rooms, offices, locker rooms, common areas, and parking areas
- Any Totem-sponsored events, classes, or functions, whether on-site or off-site
- All communication with Totem staff or clients, including in person, phone, email, text, and social media
3. General Conduct Expectations
You agree to:
- Treat all staff, trainers, therapists, clients, and members with professionalism, courtesy, and respect
- Follow all posted rules, signage, and staff instructions
- Use all equipment and facilities safely and responsibly
- Refrain from conduct that disrupts operations or negatively impacts others
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of access to Totem’s facilities and services without refund:
A. Harassment and Discrimination
- Verbal or physical harassment, intimidation, or threats
- Discriminatory remarks or conduct based on any protected characteristic
- Offensive jokes, slurs, gestures, or displays of inappropriate material
B. Sexual Harassment and Misconduct
- Unwelcome advances, propositions, or requests
- Unwanted physical contact of any kind
- Sexual gestures, suggestive conduct, or inappropriate behavior
- Conduct that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment
C. Violence and Threatening Behavior
- Actual or threatened physical harm
- Aggressive, hostile, or intimidating behavior
- Possession of weapons or dangerous items
D. Bullying
- Mocking, belittling, or excluding others
- Undermining another individual’s participation or experience
E. Misuse of Facilities
- Damage or misuse of equipment or property
- Failure to follow safety protocols
- Unauthorized recording, photography, or video of others
- Unauthorized business activity or solicitation
F. Substance Use
- Use of alcohol or illegal substances on premises
- Smoking, vaping, or tobacco use within the facility
G. Hygiene and Attire
- Failure to maintain appropriate personal hygiene
- Wearing unsafe, offensive, or inappropriate clothing
- Failure to clean equipment after use
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
You agree to:
- Respect the privacy and boundaries of others
- Maintain confidentiality of personal information observed within the facility
- Refrain from sharing images, videos, or personal details without consent
6. Health and Safety Compliance
You agree to:
- Follow all safety protocols and staff instructions
- Disclose any relevant conditions that may impact safety when appropriate
- Report injuries, hazards, or concerns to staff immediately
7. Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness conduct that violates this Code, you are encouraged to report it promptly.
Reports may be made:
- In person to any staff member or supervisor
- By email: totemtrainingandperformance@gmail.com
- Through the online misconduct reporting form
All reports will be handled appropriately. Retaliation against any individual making a good faith report is strictly prohibited.
8. Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of this Code may result in action at the sole discretion of Totem, including:
- Verbal warning
- Written warning
- Suspension of services or membership
- Permanent termination of services or membership
- Referral to law enforcement where applicable
Totem reserves the right to remove any individual from the premises immediately if their conduct poses a risk to safety or well-being.
9. No Refund Policy
Suspension or termination of services due to violation of this Code of Conduct will not result in any refund of fees paid.
